ABOUT CFA SOCIETY POLAND
CFA Society Poland was established in 2004 and is one of 157 member societies of CFA Institute. The organisation is present in 70 countries or territories and gathers over 185,000 finance professionals in 164 countries.
The Society promotes the highest ethical standards in Polish investment community.
CFA Society Poland gathers professionals involved in broadly defined investment and financial management. This group includes portfolio managers, financial analysts, investment advisors, risk managers and many other finance professionals. CFA Society Poland has successfully supported CFA charterholders and candidates for almost 10 years.
At the moment there are 600 members in CFA Society Poland and over 2,000 candidates involved in the ongoing CFA® Program.

MANAGEMENT BOARD
Professor Krzysztof Jajuga – CFA Society Poland President
President of CFA Society Poland, Professor of Economic Sciences at Wroclaw University of Economics (title given by the President of Poland in 1992), Head of Finance Management Institute. He is member in scientific and professional organizations: Member of Executive Board of Committee of Statistics and Econometrics of Polish Academy of Sciences, Member of Executive Board of Committee of Financial Sciences of Polish Academy of Sciences , Member of Executive Board of Committee of Economic Sciences of Polish Academy of Sciences. His research interests are: financial markets and instruments, risk management, corporate finance, real estate, insurance and quantitative methods (econometrics, statistics).He was a member of the Scientific Council of the National Bank of Poland and a member of the Supervisory Board of Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Aleksander Mokrzycki, CFA – CFA Society Poland Vice President
Manager with 20 years of experience in the financial and asset management sectors. From 2007 to 2017 he was associated with BPH TFI, where, as the Vice President of the Management Board he was responsible for the operational activity of investment funds, finances and taxes, financial reporting and cooperation with transfer agents, depositary and auditors. Previously associated with Bank BPH as a Director in the Financial Area, involved in the process of the Bank's division. He was also the President of the Management Board of companies in the Bank BPH group: PBK Inwestycje and Final Holding. A graduate of the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk. He has a CFA certificate and an investment adviser license. Mr. Mokrzycki has graduated from the Faculty of Management at University of Gdańsk. He achived the title of Charted Financial Analyst awarded by CFA Institute in 2005 and the investment advisor title in 2009. Member of the Management Board in CFA Society Poland since 2013.
Przemysław Barankiewicz, CFA – CFA Society Poland Vice President
Vice President of CFA Society Poland and former Chief Digital Officer of Bonnier Business and Editor-in-Chief of Bankier.pl, the biggest Polish website for investors. Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the board of CFA Society Poland. He studied at the Cracow University of Economics, the University of Bedfordshire, the Warsaw School of Economics and the Warsaw University of Technology.
Piotr Sieradzan, Ph.D., CFA – CFA Society Poland Vice President
Finance & investment practitioner with over 20 years of experience in financial industry, especially in management of assets in Central and Eastern Europe and investment companies’ management. Lecturer at Kozminski University, Warsaw. In his career he managed mutual funds, penshion funds with assets over 1 bln USD, an investment bank, brokerage house. Now as a CEO and CIO runs Everest Investment Management S.A. a boutique asset management company. Piotr Sieradzan graduated from Warsaw University (Faculty of Law and Administration) and Warsaw School of Economics (Faculty of Banking and Finance) and received his Ph.D. in Economics from Warsaw School of Economics. A CFA Charterholder since 2004 and Licensed Investment Adviser since 2002. Vice President of CFA Society Poland, Member of Capital Markets Policy Council and EU Standards Advocacy Advisory Committee CFA Institute.
Piotr Polanowski, CFA – CFA Society Poland Vice President
Piotr Polanowski is responsible for managing corporate finance transactions in both the public and private sectors, equity and debt financing, equity and asset valuations, restructuring and financial analysis and due diligence within transaction processes. Piotr Polanowski has been engaged in the corporate finance advisory and investment banking since 2000. He holds the title of Chartered Financial Analyst and is Vice President of the CFA Society Poland. He participates in domestic and international arbitrage disputes and court proceedings as an expert witness.
Bartosz Pawłowski, CFA – CFA Society Poland Vice President
Bartosz Pawłowski, CFA is the Chief Investment Officer of mBank Private Banking where he focuses on asset allocation for both discretionary asset management and investment advisory. Previously he spent almost 10 years in London, initially as Global Head of Emerging Markets Strategy at BNP Paribas and then as a Portfolio Manager at Finisterre Capital, an EM-oriented macro hedge fund. Bartosz holds M.A. in Economics from Warsaw School of Economics and is a CFA Charterholder. In co-operation with CFA Society Poland, Bartosz introduced CFA Institute Statement of Investor Rights to mBank Wealth Management. mBank was the first institution in Poland to adopt and use it when dealing with clients. Bartosz was also a judge during two editions of CFA Research Challenge and participated as a panelist in many CFA Society Poland conferences.
Audit Committee
The Audit Committee has been established in order to supervise the actions undertaken by CFA Society Poland. Currently the committee comprises of three people who hold regular meetings (at least once a year). The committee sitting is called in by the Head of the Audit Committee.

OUR INITIATIVES
Get to know the initiatives led by CFA Society Poland, which represents CFA Institute in Poland and Baltic states.
Advocacy
Currently one of the most important areas of CFA Society Poland’s activity represented by the Advocacy Committee, which provides judgment on important legal matters and cooperates with regulators. The committee’s key opinions were issued on PPK (Employee Capital Plans), listed companies’ good practices and corporate governance for capital market participants.

Cooperation with universities/education
CFA Society Poland is active in the academic community. We cooperate with numerous universities in Poland and Baltic states. Our primary goal is promoting the CFA® designation among academics and students. Our main projects include students competitions: CFA Institute Research Challenge and CFA Society Poland Ethics Challenge.

Cooperation with industry representatives
CFA Society Poland strives to build and strengthen already existing business relations. It can be based on sponsoring, merit-based cooperation, event partnership or certification of employers who hire CFA® charterholders.
