Advocacy Committee by CFA Society Poland
One of the most important areas of CFA Society Poland’s activity is represented by the Advocacy Committee, which provides judgment on critical legal matters and cooperates with regulators. The committee’s key opinions were issued on PPK (Employee Capital Plans), listed companies’ good practices, and corporate governance for capital market participants.

Expert Meeting and Report on Gold-Plating in the European Union
On January 15, 2025, a seminar on the issue of gold-plating in the context of EU capital markets took place in Brussels. The event, jointly organized by CEPS (Centre for European Policy Studies), ECMI (European Capital Markets Institute), and CFA Society Poland, brought together experts from across Europe to discuss key regulatory challenges associated with this phenomenon. The seminar also provided an opportunity to present the report prepared by CFA Society Poland, which analyzes the occurrence of gold-plating in eight EU member states: the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Malta, Luxembourg, Germany, Ireland, and Finland. The report highlights key differences in legislative approaches, licensing processes, and the impact of gold-plating on the market.

Conference and Report on Gold-Plating in Poland
To create a platform for discussion on gold-plating, CFA Society Poland organized a conference on November 30, 2021, focusing on implementing European regulations in the context of the competitiveness of the Polish financial market. During several presentations and speeches, gold-plating was discussed from multiple perspectives – public and private markets, regulatory issues at the national level (Polish Financial Supervision Authority) and European level (Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union of the European Commission), as well as legal aspects through a panel of legal experts advising the capital market on regulatory matters.
